Paramedics provide emergency treatment, including advanced life support, to patients in emergencies. The Paramedic's role is to assess the urgent medical needs of patients and stabilize their conditions. Paramedics are the most highly trained emergency medical responders.
- A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00pm to 7:30am.
- A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide duties that assist in providing patient care in the Emergency Department under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Physical Requirements:
- + Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
