$26 per hour The paramedic will work as part of an on-site medical team providing first aid, patient assessment, advanced medical care within authorized scope and protocols, and coordination with local EMS when transportation or a higher level of care is required. This is a PRN event-medical position. Strong performers may be offered future assignments involving races, festivals, corporate events, sporting events, and other productions throughout the Houston area. Responsibilities Provide professional medical standby coverage Assess and treat event participants, staff, and guests Provide BLS and advanced care within authorized scope and protocols Respond to medical incidents throughout the event site Assist with heat-related illness, dehydration, orthopedic injuries, wounds, and other event-related conditions Activate 911 and coordinate with responding EMS when necessary Complete accurate electronic patient-care documentation Maintain a professional and approachable presence with clients and attendees Assist with medical-station setup, organization, and breakdown Requirements Current Texas paramedic certification or license Current BLS certification ACLS certification Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors and remain active for extended periods Ability to lift and move medical equipment Professional appearance and strong communication skills Ability to work calmly and independently in a fast-paced event environment Reliable access to a smartphone for scheduling and event communication Preferred Qualifications Event medical, EMS, emergency department, occupational health, fire service, or 911 experience Experience treating heat illness, dehydration, minor trauma, and orthopedic injuries Availability for future assignments throughout Greater DFW Employment Type PRN / Part-time event medical work Bluebonnet Medical Services provides on-site medical teams for races, festivals, corporate events, sporting events, and large-scale productions throughout Texas.
