Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medics to join our emergency medical services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality care in critical situations. As a Medic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, assessing patients' conditions, and delivering appropriate medical interventions. You will work in various settings, including emergency rooms and during critical care transport, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide pre-hospital care to patients. Assess patients' conditions using vital signs and medical terminology to determine the necessary course of action. Administer medications as required and perform advanced life support techniques. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in emergency rooms and Level I Trauma Centers to ensure seamless patient care. Operate emergency vehicles safely while driving under pressure. Assist with the transport of patients during critical care scenarios, ensuring their stability throughout the process. Perform heavy lifting as needed when transferring patients or equipment. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments provided. Qualifications Valid TDHS License. Experience in emergency medical services, including exposure to critical care transport and emergency room environments is preferred. Proficient in medication administration and understanding of medical terminology. Strong ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond effectively in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
