Job Description

Join Senior Citizens, Inc.'s Meals on Wheels Program Senior Citizens, Inc. is seeking several qualified individuals to conduct nutritional assessments for Meals on Wheels clients in the coastal counties of Camden, Glynn, and McIntosh. These are PRN positions paid on a per-assessment basis. Mileage reimbursement is not provided.
  • One PRN assessor will serve Glynn and McIntosh counties.
  • One PRN assessor will serve Camden County.
Qualified applicants should have prior assessment experience and specialized knowledge of older adults, including an understanding of the factors that affect their health, nutrition, independence, and daily functioning.
Responsibilities include:
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their nutritional and daily living needs.
  • Completing nutritional assessments when clients begin receiving services and at least annually thereafter, as required for continued meal service.
  • Identifying concerns related to clients' physical, financial, emotional, or support needs.
  • Recommending appropriate follow-up actions to the organization when concerns are identified.
  • Completing all required assessment documentation accurately and returning the materials to the organization for retention in the client's record.
Senior Citizens, Inc. will provide the specialized assessment tools and materials needed to complete each assessment. PRN staff will be paid per assessment ($35.00) with no mileage included. Training will be conducted to familiarize staff with proper interview techniques as well as safety measures in going into clients' homes. This is position will require experience in going into clients homes in the community.
