Our Mission:

ALC is a community resource that serves to protect the lives of the unborn children, and support and empower women and families facing or having experienced crisis pregnancy by sharing the hope, love and grace of Jesus Christ. What Does A Peer Advocate Do? Walk with women who are in difficult situations, listen to them, and advocate for them without judgement. Provide women with education and information on healthy relationships, pregnancy, parenting, pregnancy options, and community resources. Conduct client follow up and correspondence via phone, text, or email. Be able to assist clients with self-administered pregnancy tests. Become familiar with BrightCourse online programs and administer individual video classes to clients. Receive training for post-abortion recovery. Complete / update client case notes. Serve as chaperone for limited OB ultrasounds. Keep open communication and debrief with medical team members. Be familiar with and abide by ALC's Policy and Procedure Manual. Attend staff meetings and complete assigned trainings. Perform opening or closing duties, as necessary. Assist in childcare room and baby store as needed. Assist and/or facilitate Bible studies and group classes, to include Empowered Parenting.

Time Commitment:

Tuesday - Thursday, 9:30am -5:00pm Tuesday evening parenting classes as needed Occasional participation in special events and community outreach activities

Pay:

From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 22.5 per week
