Certified Application Counselor ACCESS Family Care - Joplin, MO ACCESS Family Care is seeking a compassionate and community-focused Certified Application Counselor to help individuals and families gain access to affordable health insurance coverage. This position plays a vital role in supporting our mission of serving the underserved by providing enrollment assistance, education, and outreach related to Medicaid, CHIP, and Health Insurance Marketplace programs. Position Summary The Certified Application Counselor provides eligibility and enrollment assistance for Medicaid, CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program), and Health Insurance Marketplace coverage. This individual will educate patients and community members on available health insurance options, assist with applications and renewals, conduct outreach activities, and ensure clients receive appropriate follow-up services. Key Responsibilities Assist individuals with applications and renewals for Medicaid, CHIP, and Marketplace health insurance programs. Educate patients and community members about affordable health coverage options. Conduct outreach and enrollment events throughout the community. Track applications, follow up on enrollment status, and maintain accurate records and reporting. Provide referrals and resources to individuals seeking additional assistance. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Participate in required training programs and continuing education opportunities. Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate services to diverse populations. Collaborate with clinic staff to support ACCESS Family Care's mission and core values.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum of two years of experience in Public Health, Outreach, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email applications. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to serving underserved and diverse populations.

Preferred:
