Job Description

Are you polished, personable, highly organized, and naturally good at connecting with people? A premier Manhattan plastic surgery practice is seeking an exceptional Director of Patient Relations to join our experienced, patient-focused team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a sophisticated and fast-paced environment, and wants a role with both meaningful patient interaction and real responsibility. You'll help guide patients through their experience with our practice, from their first inquiry and consultation through surgical scheduling and follow-up. We're looking for someone who is warm, confident, engaging, resourceful, and proactive . You should genuinely enjoy building relationships, be comfortable discussing pricing and financial decisions, and have the judgment and professionalism to work with a discerning patient population. What You'll Do Build Relationships With Patients Serve as a warm, knowledgeable, and highly responsive point of contact for prospective and existing patients Build genuine rapport and help patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their experience Respond to new patient inquiries and help qualified prospective patients take the next step toward consultation Guide Patients From Consultation to Surgery Meet with patients following their surgical consultation to discuss procedures, fees, financing options, scheduling, and next steps Help patients navigate important financial and personal decisions with warmth, confidence, and discretion Follow up thoughtfully and consistently with prospective surgical patients Coordinate surgery dates, deposits, payments, and pre- and post-operative appointments Work closely with the physician and clinical team to create a seamless experience from consultation through recovery Help Create an Exceptional Practice Experience Contribute to a five-star experience at every patient touchpoint Assist with appointment scheduling, patient flow, and incoming calls Collaborate closely with the physician, nursing, and administrative teams Support marketing, referral, PR, and practice-development initiatives Who We're Looking For You may be a strong fit if you are: Exceptionally personable, polished, warm, and articulate Naturally skilled at building rapport and earning trust Confident discussing pricing, financial commitments, and scheduling decisions Results-oriented with strong business instincts Positive, energetic, and genuinely energized by interacting with people Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proactive and resourceful rather than someone who waits to be told what to do An excellent written and verbal communicator Comfortable working with a sophisticated, high-expectation clientele Collaborative, flexible, and willing to step in wherever needed Discreet and thoughtful when handling confidential patient and financial information Comfortable learning new technology, scheduling systems, CRM platforms, and practice-management software Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Previous experience in plastic surgery, aesthetics, luxury hospitality, high-end medical services, sales, client relations, luxury retail, or another high-touch, relationship-driven environment is preferred Prior plastic surgery or medical experience is helpful, but we are especially interested in finding someone with the right combination of intelligence, professionalism, warmth, judgment, and relationship-building ability About the Opportunity This is a full-time, in-person position in Manhattan (Upper East Side) and an integral role within our patient-facing and administrative team. The position has a competive compensation plan with a base salary, bonus opportunity, and generous benefits.
