PURPOSE:

RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSISTING PATIENTS APPLY AND MAINTAIN INSURANCE COVERAGE MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Eligibility review

• analyze income, assets, and financial history to determine whether aclient meets Medicaid requirements Patient involvement
• working directly with patients to obtain all required information and provide continuous updates Application preparation and filing
• organize, prepare, and file all required paperwork with the Department of Human Services (DHS) Advocacy with DHS
• respond to DHS requests, track the application, resolve issues, and assist with appeals if necessary Education
• educate patients on insurance coverage and financial responsibilities Collaboration
• serve a liaison between patient, clinic and billing Quality Assurance
• stay current with any changes to Medicaid regulation Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal customer service skills Provide services to all Codac clinics as needed Participate in Performance Improvement activities Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree preferred 2 to 4 years' of relevant work experience with Medicaid enrollment Must have valid driver's license and provide own transportation for required local travel
