Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Patient Sitter to support patients during their hospital stay or outpatient visits. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety, provide companionship, and assist healthcare staff as needed. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient well-being while gaining valuable experience in healthcare settings. Responsibilities Monitor patients closely to ensure their safety and comfort throughout their care experience. Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff promptly. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a calming environment. Assist with basic activities of daily living, such as repositioning or helping with mobility, under supervision. Maintain clear documentation of patient observations and interactions as required by hospital protocols. Support hospital staff by facilitating communication between patients and medical personnel. Follow all safety guidelines and infection control procedures diligently to protect patients and staff. Requirements Prior experience in home and community care or healthcare environments is preferred. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to provide attentive patient care with compassion and professionalism. Previous hospital or critical care transport experience is advantageous. Strong observational skills with the ability to respond quickly to changing patient needs. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations at all times.
