8/20/2026 Internal candidates must apply by midnight on the Closing Date in order to have bidding rights. Safely performs complex patient lifts/transfers including competent handling of multiple lines, ventilators, and traction devices under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Works in collaboration with the primary Registered Nurse for the coordination of all the patient lifts and transports. Provides education to staff, patients and families regarding transfer techniques. Documents patient care delivery on the patient lift log according to procedure. Provides care appropriate to age of patients served. Utilizes effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills. Adheres to established policies and procedures, quality assurance programs, safety and environmental and infection control procedures. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
Job Requirements Minimum Education:
High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience
Preferred Education:
As required for CNA certification
Minimum Experience:
6 months healthcare related position
Preferred Experience:
6 - 12 months direct patient care

Crisis Prevention (CPI) within 18 months of hire American Heart Association recognized BLS -
Healthcare Provider Preferred Certification:
