$35.95HR Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Patient Escort for per diem, day shifts to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of patients within hospital facilities, clinics, and community settings. The Patient Emergency Escort provides essential support during patient transport, prioritizing safety, comfort, and adherence to infection control protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. This position offers flexible scheduling options for qualified individuals eager to contribute to patient care excellence. Required Qualifications High School Diploma 3 years minimum of current experience in community care or hospital settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in patient transport and manual handling techniques. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required. Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital safety protocols. Strong understanding of infection control procedures and isolation precautions . Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with diverse populations. Physical capability for heavy lifting and safe lifting practices required for patient transfer tasks. Experience with de-escalation techniques and critical care transport is an advantage. Ability to work overtime as needed Proficient computer and calculator skills sets
