Our world-class eye doctors are experts in all aspects of eye care and leading specialists in vision correction. We offer everything from cataract removal to cosmetic procedures such as eyelid surgery. You can rest assured you will receive cutting-edge treatment in a comfortable, friendly, and high-tech environment The orderly's primary function is to assist other staff members in patient care. In addition, the orderly helps in the pre/post-op care. The orderly also assists with the smooth transition between surgery cases. The orderly is responsible for proper stocking and storage of supplies and ensuring the facility's cleanliness during patient care (i.e., throwing away boxes, trash, etc.).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the patient is accommodated with a warm blanket. Wrap surgical instrument trays and sterilize autoclaves between cases. Assists PACU with turnover or turnover. Help transfer patients following proper procedures for lifting and moving patients. Assist with patient care as needed. Monitor and replace oxygen tanks. Add salt to water softeners as needed. Assist receptionist with front desk functions. Complete tasks as requested by MD, RN, Scrub Tech, or Facility Manager Prepare linen and stock supplies as needed for the subsequent surgery. Housekeeping duties in the facility. Receive and sign for deliveries Stock supplies each day as they arrive, label boxes or shelves as needed, etc. Other duties as assigned, based on the needs of the center.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification:
Basic Cardiac Life support High School Diploma or GED Ability to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, etc.
