In this vital role, you will assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include patient transport, supporting patient care activities, and ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare support and committed to promoting patient safety and comfort in a dynamic hospital setting. Duties Safely transfer patients within hospital facilities using appropriate patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques Assist with patient mobility, including helping patients with walking, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety Support clinical staff by preparing equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring infection control measures are followed Transport patients safely to diagnostic tests, procedures, or other hospital departments while adhering to patient safety protocols Implement hospital patient safety measures during all interactions and support de-escalation techniques when necessary Follow isolation precautions diligently to prevent infection spread and protect vulnerable patients Communicate effectively with caregivers and medical staff to coordinate patient transfers and care activities Experience Previous experience in home & community care or hospital environments is highly desirable Demonstrated ability in patient transport and critical care transport experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), Basic Life Support (BLS), and safe lifting practices is essential Familiarity with infection control procedures, de-escalation techniques, and hospital safety protocols is required Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting, and patient transfer methods ensuring compliance with safe lifting practices Join us in making a meaningful difference by supporting our healthcare teams in delivering exceptional patient care.
