Job Description

Sant Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Patient Transporter for their SBCH Central Transportation department responsible for providing transport for patients, equipment, supplies, and other miscellaneous materials. Performs duties aimed to enhance, the comfort and safety of our patients.
Major accountabilities include:
Performs patient transporter duties transporting patients to assigned rooms or to areas of the hospital as required for treatment and procedures. Through the use of electronic Tele-Tracking program; responds immediately to requests in the time frame allowed by the situation.

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Minimum:
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
Technical Requirements:
Minimum:
Ability to utilize e-mail, cell phones, and pagers.
Years of Related Work Experience:
Preferred:
1 year or longer transporting patients by gurney, wheelchair or equivalent hands on experience obtained in hospital's set up patient care.
