Mendocino Animal Hospital is an AAHA and Feline Friendly accredited veterinary hospital located at 290 East Gobbi Street in Ukiah, California. Our veterinary hospital is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by redwoods just 1 hour from the California coastline and 2 hours north of San Francisco. Veterinary Hospital Attendant Job Description Most veterinarians and technicians began their career as veterinary hospital attendants. This entry level position helps support the team by: walking, feeding, and cleaning patients keeping laundry clean and folded keeping food bowls clean and ready ensuring the hospital is clean and smells pleasant learn how to clean surgical instruments learn how to sterilize surgical instruments unpacking inventory and restocking restraining patients for exams and procedures radiology assistance laboratory assistance feline friendly techniques client education Veterinary Hospital Attendant Qualifications and Skills This position requires an individual who has a strong desire to work with animals, to help people and to have a team mentality to success. The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, resilient, teachable, self-aware, and honest. Some college education with emphasis on the sciences is preferred.
