Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Orderly to join our Surgery Department team. As an Orderly, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgical facilities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of operating rooms before and after surgical procedures. Transport patients to and from surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort. Set up and maintain sterile surgical equipment and supplies. Stock and replenish surgical supplies and instruments. Clean and sanitize surgical areas and equipment according to infection control standards. Assist surgical team members as needed during procedures. Dispose of biohazardous waste and hazardous materials properly. Follow all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care and safety.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols. Physical ability to lift and move patients and heavy equipment. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) is a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical procedures.
