Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Patient Transporter, where your energy and compassion will play a vital role in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient movement of patients throughout our facility. In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely between departments, treatment areas, and external locations while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for patients and support seamless hospital operations. Duties Safely transfer patients using appropriate patient transfer methods Communicate effectively with caregivers, medical staff, and patients to coordinate transfers and provide updates on patient status. Utilize basic medical terminology to accurately document patient transfers and report any concerns or incidents promptly. Maintain cleanliness and safety of transport equipment and ensure compliance with hospital safety standards at all times. Experience Previous experience in home & community care or hospital settings is highly desirable. Proven ability to perform patient transport safely in fast-paced environments with a focus on patient safety. Knowledge of patient transfer methods, manual handling techniques, and infection control practices. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required to respond effectively in emergency situations. Experience with de-escalation techniques and patient care communication to manage challenging situations professionally. Familiarity with hospital safety protocols, critical care transport experience is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare team members. $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
