A Patient Transporter or Orderly moves hospital patients from one place to another and cleans equipment and facilities. May assist with basic care of patients such as feeding and dressing. Works in hospitals or in long-term care facilities.

What You Can Expect:
The Orderly is responsible for assisting personnel in daily operations of Surgical Services. Prepares operating rooms with needed equipment and ensures all equipment is working properly. Assists with the setting up of the operating room beds and helps with the positioning of patient if needed. May transport patients and floor beds to their assigned rooms. Transports equipment, specimen, supplies, and medications. Assists with cleaning of the operating room. Cleans equipment and maintains storeroom. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
