Job Description
Job Summary:
- Under the direction of the supervisor or lead person, the Transporter will be responsible for transporting patients and visitors of all ages to and from various clinics and nursing units within the hospital as requested. This role reports directly to the Patient Escort Supervisor.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Adhere to hospital policies for properly identifying patients using 2 patient identifiers.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. CPR certification required. Basic computer skills. Effective communication skills, a solid team player, and a commitment to providing excellent patient service and professionalism.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- The work involves various physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, stooping, and lifting.
