If so GCHS is looking for you. Job Summary Under the direction/supervision of the Front Desk Supervisor, this position is responsible for daily activities relating to greeting each patient after they are registered and escorting them to the proper physician's exam room. In addition, escorts are responsible for cleaning exam rooms, properly processing instruments, maintaining inventory of medical supplies and general office duties as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities Greet patients after registration and escort them to the proper physician's exam room. Keep timely schedules and ensure room turnover is quick and efficient. Maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper cleaning between patients and at beginning and end of each day. Stock exam rooms as necessary. Put away supplies as needed, assists with maintaining inventory by marking orders sheets as needed. Sort faxes as necessary. Sorts and distributes incoming mail, utilizes postage machine to stamp outgoing mail. Ensure timely and efficiently processing of soiled instruments throughout the day. Send out cultures as needed to appropriate lab. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with peers, management, physicians, patients and family members. Requires excellent customer service skills and upbeat personality. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Familiarity with EHR/PM systems used in medical field (SRS, Allscripts experience is a plus, but not required). • A minimum of one (1) year of experience within in busy medical office. Working Conditions Regular office environment, with possible exposure to cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids, blood in cleaning exam rooms. Work is on feet for multiple hours per day, lots of walking between rooms. Work hours are Monday through Friday during business hours usually between 7:30 AM and 5:00 P.M.
