Job Description

Position Summary:
FirstHealth seeks a Diagnostic Services Assistant to prepare and transport patients to and from imaging departments. The successful candidate will select appropriate equipment and notify all relevant personnel of patient status, special needs, or instructions.
Responsibilities:
Assists health professionals as appropriate to assigned work area. Ensures that medical equipment necessary for patient transport is clean, functional, and operational. Reports any equipment malfunctions to supervisor. Helps maintain a clean and safe work environment. Transports patients (whose conditions range from stable to highly complex with special equipment needs) to other nursing units, to diagnostic and treatment areas. Assist patients with the release of medical records.
Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED. First Year Allied Health Student or interested in/actively pursuing a career in allied health strongly preferred CNA preferred but not required.
