Short Description The Visitor & Patient Assistance Captain (PRN) ensures a warm, safe, and seamless arrival experience for all patients and visitors entering Cooper University Hospital. Positioned at the main entry points, the Captain greets guests, identifies support needs, and coordinates volunteer dispatch for wheelchair retrieval, patient escorting, and wayfinding. This role reports to Service Excellence and plays a key part in upholding Cooper's standards for compassion, professionalism, and patient-centered care. Experience Required 2 years experience required. Experience in hospitality, guest services, patient experience, or customer-facing roles strongly preferred. Prior experience coordinating or leading others is a plus. Education Requirements High School Diploma Associate's Degree Preferred Special Requirements Communication and Interpersonal Skills - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Comfort assisting individuals experiencing mobility challenges or distress.
