Job Essentials:
Safely transport patients via weelchair, stretcher, or bed throughout the hospital Ensure patient, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality during transport Respond promptly to transport request using dispatch systems Maintain schedules and minimize wait times for patients and department Operate stretcher, weelchairs, beds, and oxygen tanks safely Clean and sanitize transport equipment after each use Communicate clearly with nursing staff, dispatcher, and other department Follow all infection control protocols Ability to walk long distances, push/pull heavy equipment, and assist with patient movement Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times
Education Requirements:
High School graduate/GED certificate. Englewood Health job postings provide a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
