Job Description
Salary Range The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $18.25 to $25.00 per hour. (Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements). Why Join Our Team? The Medical Imaging Aide will provide technical, escort (orderly) and clerical support services to the Medical Imaging department specifically in a sub-department area (e.g. CT, radiology, etc.). The aide will work closely with the imaging technologist to provide customer friendly services to patients, visitors, physicians and other health care professionals, and will also take into consideration the patient's special, physical, emotional, spiritual and/or age-specific related needs. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential (Responsibilities) Assist technologists in sub-department areas with the daily workflow of imaging patients to maintain an efficient operation. This will include, but is not limited to, preparing patients for procedures, completing paperwork and computer entry documentation, answering the telephone, and stocking the room with supplies. Transports patients in a safe and efficient manner to and from patient care areas as part of the workflow for the Medical Imaging department. Provides for appropriate patient care, safety, and exceptional customer service experience during patient preparation and transportation. Utilizes appropriate transfer equipment as part of the Healthy Moves Program to prevent patient and staff injuries during patient transfers to and from stretchers and wheelchairs. Communicates operational, workflow and patient needs to technologists in that area. What You Bring (Qualifications)
