Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.
Summary:
Delivers and assists with patient transport and medical supplies. Performs cleaning duties, including sanitization of transport equipment, wheelchairs, and gurneys and related transport equipment. Ensures compliance with all safety, sanitation, and quality control requirements associated with assigned responsibilities. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Able to speak, read and write in English and understand and follow written and oral instructions. . Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to communicate well with patients and staff using verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Preferred:
HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
Physical Requirements:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance. Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
