Job Description

DEFINITION
The Transporter provides safe and effective transportation of patients to and from all areas of the hospital. Maintains all transport equipment and portable O2. Assists in maintaining the appearance of the work environment. Assist the nursing staff with the delivery of patient care: deliver, set-up, and maintain traction therapies and orthopedic equipment and respond to emergency situations. This is a safety sensitive position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate or student 18 years of age or older. Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Previous patient care/transporter experience.
