Performs a variety of tasks including cleaning of operating rooms, stocking and disposal of linen and supply materials to ensure assigned areas are kept clean and adequately supplied. Always works as a team member within the entire facility. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Performs duties including sweeping, mopping and dusting within the operating suite in an efficient manner. Assists in OR room turnovers. Assists materials manager in ordering and stocking supplies. Assists central sterile processing Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description as well as continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Previous health care experience preferred. Previous experience and knowledge in cleaning operating room environments AHA BLS required within 90 days of hire, if not currently certified.
