We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Transport Monitor to join our team in Erie, PA and support patients through transportation, monitoring, and custody control responsibilities. What You'll Do As a Transport Monitor, you will help provide safe transportation and support patient movement, monitoring, and documentation within Erie programming.
Responsibilities:
Transporting patients to and from referring agencies and scheduled appointments. Escorting patients as needed and monitoring patient movement into and out of the facility. Maintaining vehicles, including gas, oil changes, inspections, and general maintenance coordination. Maintaining daily logs and accurate documentation. Following facility rules, regulations, and policies. Assisting with patient intakes and orientation of new patients. Conducting patient drug screening and random room searches as assigned. Making telephone contact with employers, families, or friends to verify approved patient movement or furloughs. Dispensing authorized prescription medications to patients. Attending mandatory GRC trainings and in-services. What You Bring Strong communication and organizational skills. Dependability, sound judgment, and attention to safety. Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive while on duty. Ability to follow policies, maintain professional boundaries, and support a safe treatment environment.
Requirements:
What do we require? High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and favorable driving record. CPR and First Aid training. Pass PA Criminal background check. Must pass PA Department of Corrections Clean Check. What are the work conditions? Driving for long distances and sitting for extended periods. Mental demands include monitoring patients who have been incarcerated or are under parole/probation supervision. Mandatory staffing coverage may be required to maintain a safe treatment environment for Gateway patients.
