What You'll Be Doing Provide personalized one-on-one and small group personal training sessions. Design customized fitness programs based on each client's goals, abilities, and experience. Teach proper exercise technique and safe use of fitness equipment. Motivate and encourage clients while helping them stay accountable. Track client progress and adjust programs as goals evolve. Build strong relationships and provide exceptional member service. Promote personal training services and connect with members on the wellness floor. Requirements Current nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent), or the ability to obtain certification within the timeframe established by the YMCA. CPR/AED and First Aid Certification, or the ability to obtain certification through YMCA-provided training before employment. Completion of required YMCA training programs. Ability to maintain regular client sessions and build a consistent training schedule. Willingness to continue learning and growing within the fitness industry. Expectations Deliver safe, effective, and personalized training sessions. Build lasting relationships that encourage client success and retention. Maintain professionalism and a positive presence throughout the wellness center. Promote YMCA wellness programs and personal training services. Stay current on certifications and participate in required trainings. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness environment.
