Required Availability (Some of these time slots, not all) : Mondays, Tuesdays and or Wednesdays | 8:00-9:00AM Mondays, Tuesdays and or Wednesdays | 7:30-8:30PM Saturdays | 8:00-10:00AM Following the loss of its clubhouse in a fire, Altadena Town & Country Club is preparing to rebuild while continuing to support the health and well-being of its membership. As part of this effort, the club plans to introduce outdoor fitness classes for its members. We are seeking an experienced and certified Group Fitness Instructor who is qualified to teach one or more of the following formats: Yoga Mat Pilates Strength training using minimal equipment High-intensity fitness classes Low-impact fitness classes The ideal candidate will be energetic, dependable, and capable of motivating participants of varying ages and fitness levels. They should create an engaging, safe, and inclusive environment while offering appropriate modifications to meet individual needs. Classes will initially take place outdoors with little to no equipment. The instructor must be prepared to develop and lead a well-rounded curriculum that primarily uses bodyweight exercises and other minimal-equipment movements.Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan and teach a variety of Yoga, Mat Pilates, and or Strength training classes that cater to students of all levels and abilities. Required to arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before your class start time. The class equipment is to be set up and ready for use at the start of class. You are expected to assist in maintaining a clean and organized space, and to promptly report any broken or damaged equipment to NRG management. Communicate with NRG Management via emails, text and phone during normal business hours. Provide constructive feedback on classes, share suggestions for improvement, and bring any questions or concerns to the attention of management when necessary. You must wear appropriate athletic attire when acting as an NRG Instructor. You are required to accurately track your working hours by clocking in and out using the ADP Mobile App, and to keep your timecard up to date in ADP. You will be required to commute to different work locations to teach your assigned classes. Adhere to the operating procedures and policies specific to each customer. Depending on the customer, different SOPs may be required, and as an employee, it's our responsibility to do our best to fulfill them. Requirements for theJob:
A certification is required for each format you are assigned to teach.. Possess a current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. 4+ years teaching the specific format you will be assigned to teach.Key Competencies:
Ability to be professional and motivate class participants. Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members. Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique, and rhythm.Physical Requirements:
The employee must have a high degree of energy, be physically fit, and have the endurance to complete the workout. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more, and occasionally must aide or assist participants. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Job Type:
