This position will plan, conduct and supervise activities including skateboarding skill development and other activities for children ages 6 to 14.Under the general supervision of the Campbell Recreation Program Coordinator and Supervisor, the Skate Park Staff oversee Skateboarding instruction for City of Campbell Skateboarding Classes and Camps.

  • August:
    Weekdays, ~20 hours a weekSummer camps run June through August from 9:00 a.m.
  • 12:00 p.

September
  • May:
    Weekends, ~3-5 hours a weekClasses run September through June on Sundays from 9:30 a.m.
  • 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
  • 11:45 a.
m.

Private lessons are scheduled based on staff and facility availability. All classes, camps and private lessons will be held at the Campbell Community Center Skate Park.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supervise and teach skateboarding skills to different ages and ability levels in a group settingCreate appropriate lesson plans for each session/skill levelAbility to communicate and demonstrate skills to participantsAbility to motivate and educate varying ages and abilities with the basic skills and techniques of skateboardingMaintain open communication with Recreation Coordinator and Supervisor about weekly programmingMaintain cleanliness of Skate Park before and after instruction allowing safe use of the facilityAdditional responsibilities as needed
