A Personal Trainer or Fitness Instructor develops customized exercise and fitness programs for clients. Reviews health and fitness goals, teaches correct and safe exercise technique, monitors progress and provides encouragement for clients. Leads fitness and exercise classes at a community center, club or pool. Teaches aerobics, water, strength building or other exercises and maintains equipment.
Part-Time Exercise Science Coach / Personal Trainer Adaptive Fitness, Parkinson's & Special Populations Quinn's Gym•Carmichael, CA $27.50•30.00/hour, depending on education and experience Quinn's Gym is seeking two part-time coaches with backgrounds in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field. We serve a diverse population including older adults, people with Parkinson's disease, neurodivergent children and adults, and traditional personal-training clients. We are currently looking to fill two complementary coaching needs: Morning / Early Afternoon Coach This coach will work primarily with: Older adults People with Parkinson's disease One-on-one personal-training clients Rock Steady Boxing participants Boxing coaching experience is helpful, but not required .
Afternoon / Evening
RISE Coach This coach will work primarily with: Neurodivergent children and teens Neurodivergent adults Our RISE adaptive fitness program Small-group and individual adaptive fitness sessions For this role, being genuinely comfortable and effective with children is essential. We are especially interested in someone who is patient, creative, energetic, adaptable, and able to connect with children who may communicate or learn differently. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field Strong understanding of exercise physiology, biomechanics, strength training, and exercise progression Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patient, dependable, professional, and organized Strong attention to detail Comfortable working with special populations Willingness to learn Quinn's Gym's training methods Preferred Qualifications Experience with older adults Experience with Parkinson's disease or neurological conditions Experience working with autistic or other neurodivergent children or adults Youth fitness, adaptive fitness, recreation, or special-population coaching experience Boxing or boxing-fitness coaching experience Personal-training, strength-and-conditioning, or adaptive-fitness certification CPR/AED certification Experience maintaining accurate attendance, client records, or program documentation Previous experience with special populations is highly desirable, but we are willing to train an exceptional candidate who has the right educational background, temperament, and desire to learn. About Quinn's Gym Quinn's Gym is an independent private strength-training and adaptive-fitness facility in Carmichael. Our programs include personal training, strength training for adults over 50, Rock Steady Boxing and strength training for people with Parkinson's disease, and our RISE adaptive fitness program for neurodivergent children, teens, and adults. Many of the people we serve would not be well served by a traditional commercial-gym environment. We believe good coaching requires knowledge, patience, observation, adaptability, empathy, and the ability to meet each client where they are.
