CSUDH is seeking energetic and knowledgeable Group Fitness Instructors to join the ToroGX program at the new Health, Wellness, and Recreation Center. Instructors will lead safe, engaging, and inclusive classes for participants of varying fitness levels and abilities. Available class formats may include yoga, Pilates, Zumba, aqua aerobics, bootcamp, cardio and strength, dance, martial arts, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide clear verbal cues Modify exercises for participants with different fitness levels and abilities Create a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating class environment Prepare class plans that align with certification standards and program expectations Follow all safety procedures and facility policies
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Current CPR/AED certification Current nationally recognized group fitness or specialty certification Previous teaching experience and specialty certifications are preferred. This is a temporary, part-time position with a variable schedule based on class assignments and facility needs. Early morning, evening, and weekend availability may be required.
