This role combines sales expertise with management skills to foster a motivating environment for both staff and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales, team management, and customer service, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued to connect with diverse clientele and enhance outreach efforts. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the personal training sales team, providing coaching, training, and development to maximize performance Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed membership and personal training goals Manage daily operations including employee orientation, shift management, and scheduling to ensure smooth store functioning Oversee customer service interactions, ensuring a positive experience that promotes client retention and satisfaction Conduct interviewing and recruiting processes to attract qualified team members Handle payroll, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS operations, purchasing, and inventory control to maintain operational efficiency Supervise merchandising, stocking, pricing, and marketing initiatives to optimize store presentation and sales opportunities Monitor retail math metrics such as sales figures, retail management KPIs, and budgeting parameters Maintain excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills while managing administrative tasks such as training & development documentation Lead marketing efforts to promote personal training programs and store offerings through various channels Requirements Proven experience in retail management, sales management, or store supervision with a focus on fitness or health clubs preferred Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close sales effectively Demonstrated leadership capabilities with supervising experience in a team environment Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus Experience in recruiting, employee orientation, training & development, payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS systems, purchasing, merchandising, marketing, and cash handling Proficiency in retail math, budgeting, pricing strategies, store management practices, shift management, and organizational skills Customer service-oriented mindset with exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while demonstrating time management skills Previous assistant manager or managerial experience in retail or fitness environments is highly desirable This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to lead a dynamic team within a thriving fitness facility.
