Fitness Specialist Cenergy International El Segundo, CA Job Details Contract $25 - $29 an hour 4 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Health club experience Certified Personal Trainer CPR Certification High school diploma or GED Bachelor's degree First Aid Certification Newsletters (communication methods) Training Teaching Gym experience AED Certification Full Job Description Day to Day Responsibilities Day to day operations of running a Fitness Center (restocking supplies, towels, water, wipes, signing up members, cancelling members, answering questions, cleaning equipment, putting away small equipment, reracking weights, participate in weekly team meetings, creating health & fitness related bulletin board postings, creating newsletter articles for quartely member newsletter) Conduct Personal Training sessions as requested and teach group exercise classes as scheduled. Class type is dependent on candidate's background and certifications. Conduct weekly 10-15 minute stretch breaks as scheduled. Participate in special events and incentive challenges (including but not limited to event planning, preparation, promotion, event set up, event break down, and post event duties) Required Skills/Experience (including years of experience required) Minimum 2 years fitness center experience (corporate fitness center or commercial gym, student or university gym OK, Personal Training studio OK) Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA) or BS in Exercise Science with 2 years fitness center experience
CPR/AED/FA
certified Experience working one on one with personal training clients & in a group setting Experience teaching group exercise classes Highschool Diploma/GED required
HOURS REQUIRED
Up to 40 hours a week, straight time only. No OT available. Required Tue/Wed/Thu 10:30am - 6:30pm, Mondays 7am-3pm, alternate Fridays 5am-1pm. Preferred Skills/Experience Indoor cycling group exercise certification a plus Ability to work independently and multitask Preferred candidate lives close in proximity to site location. Candidate should possess good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with a diverse group of people. Yoga certified or Mat Pilates certified a plus (not required)
