Our particular slice of heaven is an almost unbelievable combination of 360° mountain views, soaring palm trees and blooming bougainvillea beneath sun-kissed skies. It is considered one of the most breathtaking views in all of the Coachella Valley. The Club at Morningside is seeking a part-time dynamic Personal Trainer who is dedicated to service excellence and desires to work in a positive, upbeat environment at a beautiful private club. This position will work out of our Fitness & Spa Center, which includes a state-of-the-art Technogym Fitness Center with the latest strength and cardio equipment, an active schedule of fitness classes, and a full-service spa. Job Summary The Personal Trainer is responsible for creating a safe, effective, and engaging fitness environment for club members and guests. The role includes supervising exercise programs, educating members on proper technique, and developing personalized fitness plans tailored to individual goals and needs. In addition to expert guidance, the Personal Trainer will actively promote the club's services and facilities, ensuring a positive experience for all members and guests. Reporting Structure Reports to the Fitness Director Day-to-Day Assist in the exercise and fitness areas of the club, supporting members and guests with their exercise and fitness programs Evaluate member/guest fitness needs and provide the appropriate exercise program, including personal instruction as needed Conduct new member fitness assessments in accordance with club standards and track accordingly Connect with members regularly, promoting fitness activities and creating a warm, welcoming experience from check-in to check-out Promote facility amenities and programs while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service aligned with the club's values and standards Maintain current fitness-related certifications, including CPR/AED, and pursue ongoing education opportunities Accurately process daily accounting for personal training and/or group sessions Submit monthly forecasts for expected sessions and new client goals Maintain an up-to-date schedule of availability Additional Duties Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management Follow all club and department policies, procedures, and instructions Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with members, colleagues, and staff Follow safe working practices and encourage the same among others Take initiative in personal and professional growth, maintaining required certifications Attend team briefings and actively contribute to overall club and department success Physical Demands and Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and pulling Frequent repetitive motions Squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, and twisting Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs. on occasion Position Requirements Required High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of experience as a personal trainer, with demonstrated ability to develop and lead personalized fitness programs Current personal training certification (ACSM, NASM, ACE, PTA Global, NFPT, ISSA, CSCS, or NSCA) CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (within the last 6 months) Preferred College degree in health, fitness, exercise science, or a related field Group exercise certification (AFAA or ACE) Strong communication and interpersonal skills to educate and motivate clients Personal training experience in a club, gym, or spa setting
