Special Events Manager (37098) Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage - Rancho Mirage, CA 92270 Apply Overview Position Type Full Time - Exempt Category Management Apply Description The Special Events Manager oversees all aspects of creation, development, implementation and management of all special events and promotions for property. Must effectively manage, track and report on all aspects of special events/promotions and provide additional support to overall management team.
SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(other duties may be assigned) Create and maintain promotional schedule to ensure continued revenue objectives are met Effectively manage the development, implementation and execution of special events and property promotions Effectively and efficiently track and report results for all property special events and promotions Coordinate, schedule and initiate contracts for all promotional and special events including which may include lounge entertainment Manage ticketing procedures, setup and sales for all special events and promotions Provide support for overall SRC management team Monitor expenses versus budget figures to ensure compliance Observe and follow all rules and regulations set forth by Agua Caliente Gaming commission with regards to any and all essential job duties Coordinate with necessary external vendors and internal departments to ensure efficiency of all events and promotions Maintain timely procedures for the tracking and execution of all pertinent invoices and bills with regard to promotional and special events
SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and supervise Marketing Coordinator subordinates in the Marketing and Player Development Department. Carries out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities also include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work and performance reviews for Marketing Coordinator subordinates. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 4 years entertainment and/or promotional experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience Must have excellent organizational skills, computer literate, the ability to work with all departments and have excellent customer relation skills Must be able to communicate in English
GAMING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment. Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
