Martial arts experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is great with children, brings positive energy into the room, and can confidently lead a group while keeping kids focused, active, and having fun. This is a great position for someone with experience in teaching, coaching, childcare, recreation, dance, gymnastics, sports, camps, after school programs, or other youth activities. What We're Looking For Our ideal instructor is: Energetic, animated, and enthusiastic Comfortable leading groups of young children Able to command the room while still being warm and encouraging Creative and able to make activities fun and engaging Patient and comfortable redirecting children when needed Reliable, responsible, and professional Confident communicating with children and parents Comfortable being active and moving throughout class Willing to learn our curriculum and teaching style Martial arts experience is a plus, but it is not required. Training will be provided. Responsibilities Lead fun, structured martial arts and physical fitness classes for children Teach basic martial arts movements, coordination, balance, agility, focus, and listening skills Lead games, obstacle courses, drills, and age appropriate fitness activities Keep students engaged and moving throughout class Help children develop confidence, discipline, respect, teamwork, and body awareness Maintain a positive and safe class environment Manage student behavior in a kind but confident way Encourage students while maintaining clear expectations and structure Help with basic class setup and cleanup as needed Communicate professionally with parents and other staff members Follow the curriculum and guidance provided by our school Qualifications Experience working with young children strongly preferred Teaching, coaching, childcare, camp, recreation, fitness, or youth program experience is a plus Strong communication and leadership skills Positive attitude and high energy Dependable and punctual Comfortable working in an active, fast paced environment Must genuinely enjoy working with children No martial arts experience is necessary. We can teach the martial arts skills and curriculum. We are primarily looking for someone who naturally connects with children and knows how to confidently lead a fun, structured class. About the Position This is a part time paid instructor position at a family oriented martial arts school. Classes combine martial arts fundamentals with physical fitness, movement, games, coordination activities, and character development. Our goal is to help children build confidence, focus, listening skills, coordination, respect, and a positive relationship with physical activity.
