Fit For Life 1 is seeking compassionate, energetic, and motivated Adaptive Personal Trainers to help adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities improve their health, confidence, and independence through individualized fitness programs. As an Adaptive Personal Trainer, you'll work one-on-one and in small group settings, creating personalized exercise programs while building meaningful relationships with participants. Whether you're an experienced trainer or someone passionate about helping others, we'd love to hear from you. Duties Conduct fitness assessments and develop individualized exercise programs. Lead safe, engaging, and effective one-on-one or small group fitness sessions. Modify exercises based on each participant's abilities, goals, and physical needs. Motivate participants while creating a positive, encouraging, and supportive environment. Educate participants on proper exercise techniques, healthy habits, and overall wellness. Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate session documentation. Communicate professionally with supervisors, caregivers, and family members when appropriate. Travel to participant homes, community centers, parks, or other approved training locations. Maintain a safe, professional, and inclusive environment at every session. Qualifications Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, or equivalent) preferred but not required. CPR/AED Certification preferred or willingness to obtain after hire. Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities is a plus but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional. Ability to work independently and manage your schedule. Reliable transportation and a valid California driver's license.
