Stretching/Contortion Class Instructor Top Out Climbing Gym Santa Clarita, CA Job Details Part-time $52 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Gym membership Free fitness classes Qualifications Health club experience Customer communication Anatomy knowledge Customer service Sports coaching experience Body mechanics Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Stretching/Contortion Class Instructor to lead dynamic flexibility and contortion training sessions at an indoor rock climbing gym. Our previous instructor has moved away, and we are seeking another instructor to lead this popular class in our yoga studio. This class takes place every Monday from 4:45pm to 5:45pm. Candidates may also serve as a substitute for other yoga/fitness classes, and will have a free membership to the facility. Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging stretching, flexibility, and contortion classes tailored to various skill levels Demonstrate proper technique for stretching routines, emphasizing biomechanics, anatomy, and body mechanics to ensure safety and effectiveness Provide clear instructions on exercise routines, modifications, and progression strategies to optimize client results Motivate participants through positive coaching, fostering a supportive environment that encourages continuous improvement Monitor group dynamics during classes, ensuring proper manual handling and safe practice of advanced stretching & acrobatics positions Maintain a high standard of customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their progress and addressing individual needs Qualifications Proven experience teaching group fitness classes focused on stretching, yoga, Pilates, or contortion instruction Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics relevant to flexibility training Certification in yoga instruction, Pilates instruction, or similar disciplines preferred; additional certifications in sports coaching or fitness industry recognized credentials are advantageous Excellent demonstration skills combined with the ability to guide clients through practice with clarity and motivation Experience in health club or fitness environment is highly desirable; background in dancing, contortion, or sports coaching is a plus

$52.00 per hour
