In person Job Overview HYO Martial Arts is seeking an experienced, energetic, caring, and dependable instructor to lead and help grow our Preschool Movement Program for children ages 3-5 . We are specifically looking for someone who has real experience teaching young children and understands how to manage, motivate, and engage preschool-aged students in a structured class setting. This is not intended to be a short-term or temporary position. We are looking for someone who is interested in building a long-term role with our academy and growing together with the program. We already have families interested in the program, and as enrollment grows, we plan to add more class times, expand the schedule, and increase compensation based on responsibility, performance, and program growth. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a professional instructor who: Has experience teaching or coaching children ages 3-5 Understands preschool behavior and age-appropriate instruction Can manage a group of young children with both warmth and structure Knows how to keep children engaged through movement, games, music, and short activities Can communicate confidently and professionally with parents Is reliable, responsible, and interested in a long-term position Wants to help build and grow a program, not simply teach one class and leave Experience in preschool education, early childhood development, gymnastics, dance, kids fitness, recreation, sports instruction, or martial arts is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Lead fun, structured, and age-appropriate movement classes for preschool-aged children Teach coordination, balance, listening skills, confidence, basic fitness, and body control Use obstacle courses, music, games, stretching, and creative movement Maintain a safe and positive learning environment Manage classroom behavior appropriately for young children Encourage children while maintaining clear boundaries and structure Communicate with parents about class participation and progress Help develop new activities and improve the overall program Contribute ideas for increasing enrollment and strengthening the program Schedule & Growth Opportunity Part-time to start Weekday daytime availability preferred Ideal availability between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM Initial schedule may begin with a limited number of classes Additional classes will be added as enrollment grows Opportunity for increased hours and increased pay as the program develops We are looking for someone who can stay with the program long-term and grow into a more important role as enrollment increases.Compensation Starting pay:
