It's setup with a college weight room vibe. I have power racks, barbells, cable machines, TRXs, dumbbells, bands, and a variety of cardio and recovery equipment. I offer both an open gym membership and personal/small group training. The vibe is more low key and we get after it but this is not a bootcampy kind of gym. I train a lot of older clients and those with previous or current injuries. I'm looking to bring a trainer in with existing clientele but that's not a must. If you are okay with starting off small and building, I will refer you clients who reach out through my website. The first trainer I hired was able to get 20+ sessions a week within 2 months. Responsibilities Develop customized workout plans tailored to each client's fitness level, goals, and medical considerations Deliver engaging coaching sessions that motivate clients to push their limits safely and confidently Assess clients' biomechanics, body mechanics, and overall physical condition to inform program design Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, injury prevention, and the importance of nutrition for optimal results Maintain detailed records of client progress, session notes, and program adjustments Ensure safety by adhering to first aid protocols, CPR/AED procedures, and manual handling best practices during training Build strong rapport with clients through effective communication, active listening, and personalized support Promote fitness industry services by educating clients on available programs and encouraging ongoing engagement Requirements Proven experience in personal training, sports coaching, or physical education instruction within the fitness industry In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, and body mechanics Certification in personal training from a recognized organization; CPR/AED certification required Experience designing personalized workout programs that incorporate strength training, heavy lifting, functional movements, and program progression Strong understanding of fitness sales techniques and customer service principles to foster client retention Ability to operate gym equipment safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively Liability insurance coverage as required for independent contractors in the fitness sector Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse clients of all ages and fitness levels Experience working in health clubs or gym environments is preferred Join us to inspire healthier lifestyles!
