Job DescriptionSupport the daily operations of the Wings Corporate HQ onsite fitness center to ensure a safe, welcoming, and high-performing environment for members and participants. Deliver engaging fitness and wellness programs that promote health, well-being, and positive member experiences. Provide safe, effective exercise instruction while demonstrating excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to motivate and inspire others. Assist with program planning, administration, marketing, promotion, and execution to support department goals and organizational objectives.

Hours:

Monday-Thursday, flexible hours between 12:00-6:00pm and Fridays 12:00-4:00pm, up to 30 hours per week.

Essential FunctionsTeach and assist in the creation of group exercise classes (virtual/in-person).Conduct fitness and health assessments for members/employees.

Conduct fitness center & equipment orientations.

Provide wellness coaching and nutritional counseling.

Create fun and engaging programs to encourage healthy behaviors.

Attend and assist with health fairs, table events, and screenings.

Update health and wellness bulletin boards.

Ensure equipment safety concerns are escalated accordingly.

Equipment cleaning.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related discipline preferred1+ years' combined experience in a fitness center or wellness coaching environment/role preferred6+ months group fitness instruction experience preferred

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of lifestyle, diet, and the human body.

Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA.Communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to build comprehensive reports and effectively convey information to others.

Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

Maintains good public relations and keeps supervisors informed of customer and facility needsAdvanced knowledge in techniques and dynamics of basic group fitness and specialty classes.

Ability to identify and correct participant technique.

Ability to offer exercise modifications.

Ability to teach others how to do something.

Ability to manage and adjust different forms of media utilized in the fitness center, including television and radio.

Certifications Required:

Current CPR/AED certification, upon hire requiredCurrent First Aid certification upon hire requiredNationally accredited Personal Training OR Group Fitness certification (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, NCSF, ACE, AFAA, NESTA, etc.) within 90 Days requiredAdditional Information

PAY RANGE

$22- $26/hour (S12), plus 7% annual target bonus.

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
