Reviews health and fitness goals, teaches correct and safe exercise technique, monitors progress and provides encouragement for clients. Leads fitness and exercise classes at a community center, club or pool. Teaches aerobics, water, strength building or other exercises and maintains equipment.

Job Description

Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent researches and helps develop and implement recreation and leisure programs for the tribal community, in collaboration with the Recreation & Community Services Program Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
Demonstrated interpersonal and problem-solving skills Demonstrated understanding of group dynamics and conflict resolution Ability to work with various age groups including children and elders ~AND~ High school diploma (or equivalent) and higher education in the field of childhood education, recreation or similar field of study ~OR~ High school diploma (or equivalent) and experience with helping to plan, develop and manage recreation or leisure programs ~AND~ First Aid and CPR certifications required (will train) Successful candidate may be required to pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe's Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy (Policy #80) Must be able to physically participate in athletic activities and leisure trips Must be able to occasionally work a flexible schedule The Mohegan Tribal Government is committed to Native American Preference and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
