Job Description

Job Summary New Milford Fitness & Aquatics Club is looking for a fun, dependable, and high-energy Aquatics Fitness Instructor to lead a dynamic, medium-impact water workout designed for all fitness levels. Make waves and build strength with this energizing, full-body pool-based class. The workout focuses on functional strength, cardio endurance, and core stability—using the natural resistance of the water, plus equipment like water dumbbells, noodles, and kickboards. Participants will squat, lunge, press, and push through water-based exercises that tone muscles, build power, and improve joint mobility—all while being easy on the joints and kind to the body. The class is set to upbeat music and offers a challenging yet low-impact experience that's both effective and fun.
Responsibilities:
Lead a safe and motivating water fitness class for mixed fitness levels Incorporate aquatic equipment to enhance the workout Offer modifications and clear instruction Set up before class and assist with cleanup afterward Ensure member safety and proper form throughout the class Foster a positive, welcoming class environment
Qualifications:
Group Fitness or Aquatic Fitness Certification (AEA, AFAA, ACE, or similar) preferred CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain) Comfortable teaching in a pool environment Friendly, professional, and reliable Experience working with older adults is a plus
