A Personal Trainer or Fitness Instructor develops customized exercise and fitness programs for clients. Reviews health and fitness goals, teaches correct and safe exercise technique, monitors progress and provides encouragement for clients. Leads fitness and exercise classes at a community center, club or pool. Teaches aerobics, water, strength building or other exercises and maintains equipment.

Rate of pay:
$18.10 Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience. Essential Responsibilities Conduct and lead fun, safe and educational group workouts Visually assess class to determine their level of practice Assist participants to achieve precise alignment to prevent injury Demonstrate practice and techniques Transform energy during warm-up, build-up and cool-down stages Minimum Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community CPR & First Aid Certified Must have completed a Basic Instructor Training Course and/or completed one specialty certification. Preferred Qualifications Multi-lingual skills Must have knowledge and skill to teach at least 2 formats OR advanced level training in area of specialty The YMCA of Delaware is an equal opportunity employer.
