Overview We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to helping members achieve their health and wellness goals. As a Fitness Instructor, you will lead engaging, safe, fun & motivating group exercise classes appropriate to various skill levels.
The following criteria is desired:
Design and lead safe, fun and engaging workouts incorporating approved and appropriate fitness techniques. Demonstrate proper form. Offer multiple variations to accommodate all fitness levels. Motivate participants with strong communication skills. Possess schedule flexibility. Maintain a clean and organized gym environment. Assist in promoting various events at the MAC. Keep a neat, clean and modest appearance. Keep speech and class music selections free from profanity and inappropriate references. Honor the Lord though fitness in speech, demeanor and appearance. Responsibilities Conduct engaging group fitness classes, including but not limited to Silver Sneakers, Zumba, Refit, Cycling, Cardio, Strength Training and other class programs. Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and safety protocols. Monitor participants during workouts to ensure proper form and technique. Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere for all members. Requirements Possess a Primary Group Exercise Certification (ie:
AFAA, NASM, ACE
). Possess current CPR certification. Possess schedule flexibility. Previous experience is preferred. Possess a positive, outgoing, and engaging demeanor. Display excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Share your passion for health and wellness with a commitment to ongoing professional development. Feel comfortable sharing about Jesus and the Gospel Message.
