$75,000 - $100,000 About the Role Powerhouse Gym Fort Lauderdale is looking for a Personal Training Director to own one of the most important departments in the club. This is a revenue leadership role: you'll build, coach, and hold accountable a team of personal trainers who deliver real client results and real sales performance — because in this business, those are the same thing done right. You'll have full ownership of the department's P&L drivers — trainer recruitment, session volume, package sales, and client retention — with the backing of club leadership and a compensation plan that pays you for growth. What You'll Own Team Leadership Recruit, hire, and onboard trainers who meet Powerhouse's service and credential standards Coach, mentor, and hold trainers accountable to clear performance and sales targets Run weekly team meetings built around KPIs, client outcomes, and sales skill development Manage scheduling, floor coverage, and workload distribution to maximize both productivity and client experience Sales & Revenue Growth Set and drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the department Build strategies that grow package sales, renewals, and session utilization Sit in on consultations, support closes, and coach trainers through objection handling in real time Track individual trainer performance and intervene early when numbers slip Client Experience & Retention Ensure every session meets club standards and moves clients toward their goals Review client feedback and program effectiveness on a regular cadence Own service recovery — when a client has a problem, you resolve it Champion progress tracking, milestone recognition, and client-trainer engagement Operations & Reporting Report departmental KPIs to club leadership: revenue, utilization, retention Ensure accurate contracts, payments, and session tracking Maintain compliance with health, safety, and certification standards Marketing & Outreach Execute in-club promotions, challenges, and workshops that generate PT interest Partner with the membership sales team to convert new members into training clients What You Bring 2+ years in a fitness leadership role — Personal Training Manager or Director strongly preferred Proven record leading a sales-driven team to exceed revenue targets Current certification from a nationally accredited body (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, or equivalent) CPR/AED certification Strong command of fitness assessment, goal setting, and program design Excellent coaching, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills — you build high-performance culture, not just schedules High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field preferred CRM or club management software proficiency a plus Benefits Performance bonus on department revenue 401(k) Health and dental insurance Paid time off Flexible schedule Employee discount and complimentary club access Join Us If you're a leader who can develop trainers, drive numbers, and build a training program members talk about, we want to meet you.
