Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and certified Group Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic health and wellness team. In this role, you will lead engaging and effective group exercise classes, inspiring participants to achieve their fitness goals while promoting a positive and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various fitness disciplines, excellent communication skills, and a passion for motivating others. Duties Lead diverse group fitness classes such as aerobics, yoga, Pilates, cycling, CrossFit, and dance-based workouts with professionalism and enthusiasm. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, emphasizing correct body mechanics, biomechanics, and safety procedures. Design and adapt workout programs tailored to different fitness levels and individual needs. Motivate participants through energetic coaching, clear instructions, and positive reinforcement. Ensure all classes comply with health and safety standards, including first aid protocols, CPR certification, AED operation, and manual handling procedures. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients, answering questions, and offering personalized fitness advice. Maintain equipment safety and cleanliness while managing class logistics efficiently. Stay current with industry trends by participating in ongoing professional development related to anatomy, physiology, sports coaching, and fitness industry best practices. Experience Proven experience in leading group fitness classes across multiple disciplines such as yoga, Pilates, cycling, kickboxing, or sports coaching. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, and exercise science principles. Prior experience in personal training or coaching clients one-on-one or in small groups is advantageous. Familiarity with gym operations, health club environments, and fitness sales is preferred. Certification in group fitness instruction from recognized organizations (e.g., ACE, NASM) is required; additional certifications in Pilates instruction or yoga are highly desirable. Experience with teaching exercise routines safely for heavy lifting or high-intensity workouts. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse audiences effectively. Knowledge of fitness industry standards for client communication and customer service excellence.
