Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and certified Strength & Cardio Class Instructor to join our health and fitness team. In this role, you will lead engaging group fitness classes focused on strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, and functional movement. Your expertise will motivate participants of diverse backgrounds to achieve their fitness goals safely and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of exercise science, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and exhibit a passion for inspiring others through fitness.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver high-energy group fitness classes Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and ensure correct body mechanics during class instruction Motivate participants by providing personalized coaching and fostering an inclusive environment Monitor participant safety by applying manual handling techniques and maintaining awareness of individual limitations Incorporate biomechanics, physiology, and anatomy principles into program design to optimize results Conduct demonstrations and guided practice sessions to ensure proper form and technique Maintain equipment safety standards and perform routine checks on fitness gear Provide exceptional customer service by addressing participant inquiries and offering modifications as needed Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and best practices in group fitness instruction Support health club operations through active engagement in promotional activities and client communication Skills The successful candidate will possess a broad skill set that includes: Certification in group fitness instruction with specialization in strength training, cardio, Pilates, or Zumba Extensive experience teaching diverse group fitness classes with proven coaching ability Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics relevant to exercise routines Proficiency in program design tailored to various fitness levels and goals Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED operation for emergency preparedness Familiarity with cycling instruction techniques and heavy lifting safety protocols Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly while providing constructive feedback Excellent client communication skills with a focus on motivational coaching Knowledge of gym equipment operation, manual handling procedures, and health club safety standards Experience working within the fitness industry or health club environment is highly desirable If you are passionate about promoting health through innovative fitness programs and possess the necessary certifications and experience, we encourage you to apply.
